When we bought our house about 75% was covered with it. I pulled it all up by hand. It's not that bad. The older more established areas I pulled up then rolled into huge mats. I needed a second person to help me drag them to the curb - called the trash company and let them know and they were cool about it.

Wear gloves and long sleeves. After a week of pulling it started giving a rash reaction though not as bad as poison ivy.

Also be vigilant for it will pop up now and then for about 3 years. It's completely gone now for me.

Since it's a slope, be mindful of erosion potential when it's gone.
